Somewear’s software platform and satellite-powered hardware enable commercial and government teams to maintain situational awareness during high-pressure operations — in any environment. Somewear serves a wide range of customers including helicopter paramedics, backcountry explorers, firefighters, and operators within the US Department of Defense. Our purpose is to build best-in-class solutions that keep people in touch, informed, and safe anywhere in the world.
We're looking for a driven and results-oriented Account Executive to join the Somewear team! This is our first sales hire on the commercial side of our business and and an exciting opportunity to sell into an untapped market. Working out of our Chicago or San Francisco office, you will will be responsible for sourcing and closing new commercial deals to drive revenue growth for the company.

What you'll do:
- Manage the full B2B sales pipeline from prospecting through closing new business opportunities
- Develop strategy for prioritizing, sourcing, and closing key opportunities with commercial enterprise customers
- Manage and close inbound government transactional deals and initial pilots
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with key decision-makers at our customers
- Work with the other Sales team members to improve and streamline internal processes
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and sales forecasting
- Work with our Operations team to ensure smooth customer onboarding and training
- Concisely communicate customer feedback and requested enhancements to our product / engineering team
- Monitor and identify adoption and utilization trends
- Educate existing customers on new features and releases
- Work with our leadership team to identify new industry verticals / use cases
- Build an intimate understanding of Somewear products and our place in the satcom and command and control space
About you / Requirements:
- 5+ years of account management or sales experience in the SaaS / technology industry
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and growth objectives
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders
- Ability to understand the customers needs and communicate how Somewear Labs is the right solution
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced startup environment, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
- Experience with government customers is a plus
- Willingness to travel as needed
